Step 1
Discovery Call
The “Discovery Call” is the first step in my design process. All new clients start here.
Whether you are looking for assistance with selections for a new build or a one-room design, give me a call to get the process started.
Step 2
2 Hour In-Home Design Consultation
After the discovery call, I conduct a 2 hour in-person tour of the home. I walk through each space with the client and discuss the possibilities of each space.
I also take photos and measurements of each room that will be transformed.
Cost: $350
Step 3
Proposal and Contracting Phase
A contract is sent to the client and discussed to obtain services. The contract will outline the services to be delivered, the timelines, and the interior design fee.
If the projects consist of full design services, the contractor cost is a separate fee and will be discussed with the client once the contract costs are obtained from the contractor.
Step 4
Design and Planning Phase
Sourcing items for each project begins only after the design fee deposit has been received. This invoice is sent after the consultation when I have had a chance to view the space in person. After the deposit is received, I begin working on space planning and reconfiguring layouts (if necessary), and sourcing all items needed to create the space that best suits your lifestyle and personal design needs. I pick up material samples if available during this step.
Design boards are sent 3-4 weeks after the deposit has been received. A call is set up to discuss the design boards. Clients are allowed one revision during this phase. I highly recommend renderings for major renovations. These can be provided at an additional cost of $300-$500.
Step 5
Procurement
Upon approving the design board, clients are sent a purchasing invoice. Once those funds have been received, I order all of the items and track the delivery process. Many of my vendors do not ship to residences.
Vendors require that the items are shipped to a receiver warehouse to receive, inspect, and deliver the items. The cost varies depending on the items ordered.
The costs are discussed with the client and must be paid during the ordering phase as the shipping and delivery costs.
Step 6.
Construction & Installation
Once all items have been delivered, an installation date is set. If the design process includes a renovation, demolition will begin and all large items will be delivered on-site (if possible).
If for a redesign, all furnishings and accessories are delivered to the receiver when necessary or the designer. When the project is complete, clients will be able to enjoy their new beautiful and functional space.

Christmas Design
Grant Sullivan Interiors provides the option to purchase the tree and the decorations which are purchased from my trade vendors. Clients can provide their own tree and decorations as well. If client provides their own decorations and tree, the mood board and material selections steps are not included in the design phase.
To decorate the Christmas tree, the fee starts at $100.00 a square foot with a $75.00 surcharge. This cost is for the tree only, the products are a separate cost. To secure your install date, there is a $250 non-refundable deposit required, and the balance must be paid 24 hours prior to the install date.
Example: a 6.5 tree is $650.00 minimum with a $75.00 surcharge. Entire rooms have a $1750.00 minimum.
Fireplaces start at 250.00 minimum; price can vary depending on the size of the size.
Designer On Call
This service is used if you need help selecting finishes on a home, like paint, lighting, flooring but you want to oversee the procurement of these items. Designer on call services are offered in 5 hour blocks of time.
Flooring Selections
Assistance with the selection and installation of new flooring. This service can be for one room or the entire house.
New Construction
Assistance with project management, space planning and layout, finish selections, furnishing selections, and all aspects of a project where the building is being built from the ground up.
Lighting
Assistance with the selection and procurement of custom lighting that enhances the space.
Painting Selections
Assistance with the selection of paint colors for interior and/or exterior projects. This service can include a painting crew if needed. We offer separate painting consultations.
Redesigns
Assistance with project management, space planning and layout, paint selections, furnishing selections, and all other aspects of a project where minor cosmetic changes will occur. This type of project involves no structural changes and does not require all existing finishes to be replaced. Painting and lighting changes are involved and usually, only furniture and accessories are purchased.
Renovations
Assistance with project management, space planning and layout, finish selections, furnishing selections, and all other aspects of a project where an existing floor plan will remain intact. This type of project does not involve structural changes but requires all existing finishes to be replaced.
Window Treatments
Assistance with the selection of custom window treatments only. This means fabric or shade selection and hiring a workroom to make the window treatments. We offer separate window treatment consultations.
Virtual Design/DIY
Virtual design is our e-design service where we offer a remote approach to design the space. Assistance with creating a plan for your space remotely, and the client is responsible for implementing the design on their own which consists of the client purchasing, selecting and overseeing all installation services.
